Extraordinary single casks and an amazing core range product
Started in 2020, Ferg & Harris made a big entrance in the whisky world with a 42 year old Bunnahabhain and an 11 year old Lochindaal as their inaugural releases. Although they are relatively new as an independent bottler, the guys behind the brand have lots of experience in the whisky industry as a bottler for other whisky brands.
The concept of Ferg & Harris is twofold: two single cask releases from the same region every couple of months. Both exceptional but one very high end and one a bit more affordable. Apart from the single casks they have a great core range product: a 12 year old Secret Speyside, finished in first fill PX sherry casks and bottled at 55.7% ABV. A true sherry bomb, with rich flavors of dried fruit and warm spices. Best of all, it’s core range, so continuously available.
Hogshead visited their warehouse. Based on the amazing stock we saw there, we’ll be seeing a lot more amazing stuff from these guys in the near future.
